The EHF EURO 2018 Disciplinary Commission has reached on a decision following a protest from the Slovenian delegation subsequent to the EHF EURO 2018 match between Slovenia and Germany on 15 January 2018.
The Disciplinary Commission considered the arguments from the Slovenian delegation and decided to confirm the final result of the match 25:25.
In reaching its decision, the Disciplinary Commission confirmed that the decision of the referees was based on their oberservations of the factual situation. The fact that these observations were made by means of video assistance was deemed to be irrelevant. The decisions of the referees are therefore final and the protest was therefore rejected.
The Slovenian team has the right to appeal. Any appeal must be received by 16 January 2018 at 20:00 hrs.
