EHF EURO History

The first Men's EHF European Handball Championship was EHF EURO 1994 in Portugal with 12 teams competing for honours. EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia is the 13th EHF European Handball Championship and will feature 16 teams.

2018 will mark the first time a Men's EHF EURO event is played for the second time in the same country. Croatia also hosted the Men's EHF EURO in 2000.

Sweden currently lead the medal table with their four gold medals but France are hot on their heels having won three EHF EURO events to date.
